How often you go for a dental exams depends on your oral health needs. The goal is to catch small problems early. The Canadian Dental Association recommends a dental exam every six months. We may suggest that you visit more or less often depending on how well you care for your teeth and gums, problems you have that need to be checked or treated, or how fast tartar builds up on your teeth.
How often you need to have x-rays also depends on your oral health. A healthy adult who has not had cavities or other problems for a couple of years probably won't need x-rays at every appointment. If your dental situation is less stable and we are monitoring your progress, you may require more frequent x-rays.
Yes, we welcome new patients. If you already have a dentist you can request that a copy of your records be transferred to our office.
Gum disease is a very common dental problem that begins when plaque adheres at and below the visible edge of your gums. It is essential to keep your teeth and gums clean in order to prevent gum disease. Brush your teeth properly at least twice a day and floss at least once every 24 hours. Be sure to see the dentist regularly for professional cleaning and dental exams, so that he can detect any early signs of gum disease, and provide appropriate treatment.
First call us and explain your symptoms and ask to be seen as soon as possible. Then ease the pain. Take an over-the-counter pain medicine that works for you. Hold an ice pack against your face at the spot of the sore tooth. Do not use heat on a toothache.
Yes we do. We have both office whitening and Home Whitening Kits
You may have a dental plan through your employer, union or the provincial government. A dental plan is a means to help you to pay for your dental treatment. If you have a dental plan, read the booklet or other materials available from your provider to find out what is covered by your plan and what you have to pay for yourself. We can help you estimate how much of your treatment will be covered by your dental payment plan.
We accept cash, Visa and Mastercard. We offer a discount to seniors and post-secondary college and university students.
Your appointment time is reserved for you. Accordingly we require two business days to reschedule or cancel appointments at no charge. We need time to accommodate Emergency Patients who are in pain. Thank you for your understanding.
